Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-07-06

These terms govern the use of the SupportBot software and this website. By installing or using SupportBot you accept these terms.

1. Description of the Service

SupportBot is a self-hosted AI customer-support platform built on open-source components. The software is provided 'as is'; hosting, operating, and configuring it is the responsibility of the business that installs it.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the software in compliance with applicable law. Using it for spam, misleading communication, distribution of unlawful content, or violating third-party rights is prohibited.

AI-generated answers may contain errors. Verifying bot responses with a human on critical matters (legal, financial, medical, etc.) is your responsibility.

3. Accounts and Security

Keeping operator accounts and API keys confidential is the installation owner's responsibility. If you suspect unauthorized access, reset your password and revoke your API keys.

4. Intellectual Property

SupportBot consists of open-source components (Chatwoot, Dify, etc.) and a custom layer; each component is subject to its own license. Content you upload to your knowledge base remains yours.

5. Disclaimer

The software is provided without any warranty, express or implied. The developers cannot be held liable for direct or indirect damages arising from its use, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

6. Changes

These terms may be updated; the current version is always published on this page. Significant changes are announced in the release notes.
